My jam entry for WhiteVault's Vaultacular Jam 5. The theme was cozy with a mutator of "pet an animal".

Welcome to the daily life of a Lumberjack. You wake up, you go make some trees go boom and then you get back home to warm the lodge up - and yourself in a saunaⁿᵒᵗ ᶦᵐᵖˡᵉᵐᵉⁿᵗᵉᵈ. A lumberjack's life is exciting and full of excitement and wonder!

Use arrow keys or gamepad left stick to move left and right. Keyboard Z or Gamepad A does a context specific action. The button prompts change on the fly depending on what controller you used last! Try it, it's fun, easy and free!

Didn't have as much time as I wanted, and scope creep was real this time. Had barely time to implement a main screen let alone improved graphics or longer gameplay or sounds for that matter.

The graphics are quick placeholder stuff, but I sometimes kept forgetting these were supposed to be quick placeholders, so some of the graphics are less placeholdery than the rest. I also planned to at least have some sounds effects and maybe atmospheric noises, but yeah, ran out of time - mostly due scheduling problems tho, the jam timeframe itself was just right.

The game was technically submitted in time, but as I couldn't get the WebGL build working in time I simply PANIC MODED and submitted the sources in a Zip-file. I managed to fix the WebGL build in the next two hours tho.

Also added builds later after submission date for Windows, Linux and Mac. I have tested the Windows build and it works, but I have no way of testing Linux and Mac builds...

Super cool game, the parallax forest made it 100% better. Just wish we would get a sweaty hairy naked Lumberjack in the sauna as an end screen.

Yeah, the parallax took most of the development time too! I know, I was planning to have time to implement the sweaty hot sauna action, but weirdly plans are prone to failure.

Thanks for playing it and commenting! :)
